How Do I Download the Patch to Get Trophies for Fallout 3 on PS3?

"Fallout 3" was released for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in October 2008. The 360 version featured Achievements, but the PS3 version did not come with Trophy support. This feature was added via a patch released in December 2008. To download the patch, players must be connected to the Internet.

Instructions

      Turn on your PlayStation 3. Navigate to "Settings."

      Navigate down to "Network Settings" and press "X."

      Choose "Internet Connection" and press "X" to ensure it is enabled.

      Insert the "Fallout 3" game disc. Navigate to "Games" and press "X." You will be notified that there is an update available for the game.

      Highlight "OK" and press "X" to download the patch. The game will restart when the download process concludes, and you will see a message that states the game is loading Trophies.
