How to Play Opponent in Tiger Woods Golf PS3 With Same Game

Join a friend on the virtual green of Tiger Woods PGA Tour 09 on the PlayStation 3. Players select their favorite golfer or create their own and then compete either solo or against one another to earn bragging rights while improving their chip shot. While Tiger Woods PGA Tour 09 can be played online, you can still invite a few friends over and face off in several different game modes using one game disc on one PlayStation 3.

Instructions

  Supply each player with his own PlayStation 3 controller. Press the center button on each controller to power them on. This will allow Tiger Woods to recognize the number of players for the game.

  Start Tiger Woods PGA Tour 09 in your PlayStation 3. You'll be taken to the game's main menu. There are seven options to choose from. Select "Game Modes" and press X.

  Choose "Traditional Game Modes" from the sub-menu and you will be taken to a list of head-to-head golf matches.

  Select "Stroke Play" to enter a standard round of gold. This can be played with up to four players using the same room on the same console. The goal of this mode is to win with the fewest number of strokes.

  Choose "Match Play" when there are only two players. This mode pits you against one another and instead of total strokes, your goal is to win each hole. Whoever finishes with the most holes taken is the winner.

  Play "Battle Golf" for a different twist on the standard game. The winner of each hole removes a club from his opponent's bag.
- 7
  Select your character for the game. Each player can choose his own in-game avatar from those provided or use the game's character creation menu to make their own customized golfer.
