Hand Combat
Fists or knives can be used for hand-to-hand combat. A baseball bat can be found at many locations as well.
Hand Guns
Grand Theft Auto IV offers two types of handguns. The standard pistol is a version of a Glock pistol and all cops use it. The advanced pistol is known as the Combat Pistol and is based on a Desert Eagle.
Machine Guns
Two types of machine guns are available. The hand-held machine gun known as the Micro-SMG and its bigger counterpart known as the SMG can be purchased or stolen. A player can wield two of these guns at once if needed.
Shotguns/Rifles
Standard pump shotguns are available in GTA IV, along with a combat shotgun, assault rifle, and carbine rifle. Players can also use two types of sniper rifles for long-range shots.
Explosives
Three types of explosives are found in Grand Theft Auto IV. The first is an RPG that launches bazooka-type shells. The Molotov is a wine-bottle bomb that explodes when thrown. The grenade is a useful tool for taking out large groups of people.
