How to Put Music on a PS3 Hard Drive

One of the many great features that the Sony Playstation 3 (PS3) supports is music playback. Various digital music formats can be played on the PS3, which means that your home music library can easily be played through your entertainment center's sound system.

Instructions

      Insert the USB flash drive into your computer and create a folder named Music on the USB flash drive.

      Copy the desired music from you computer to the Music folder you just created on the USB flash drive.

      Put the USB flash drive into your PS3 and turn it on.

      Navigate to the Music category on your PS3.

    • 5

      Select your USB device and select the files you wish to transfer or use Select All to save time if you are transferring all of the files. Select your PS3 as the destination.
