Things You'll Need
Instructions
Insert a Memory Stick Duo in the PSP's memory port, located on the bottom left of the console. This is where your Flash games will store, so ensure that there is sufficient free space by checking the "Memory Stick" icon under the "Games" option on the PSP's XMB, or main menu.
Connect your PSP to a wireless network by selecting "Network Settings" from the far left drop-down menu on the XMB and following the on-screen instructions. Once connected to a wireless access point, you can update to standard firmware greater than 2.70 by selecting the "System Update" option from the left-side menu.
Scroll to the far right of the XMB menu and select "Internet Browser," then click "X" to open the browser. For PSP models 2001 and 3001, press the triangle button once you have opened the browser, select "Tools," then "Settings," and finally "View Settings." Highlight "On" by the "Flash" option and press "X." For the earlier PSP 1001 model, simply go to the XMB menu's "Settings," followed by "System Settings," then enable the Flash player while connected to the Internet.
Initiate communication from your PC to your PSP by connecting the USB cable to each, then select "USB Connection" from the far left drop-down menu on your PSP. You will see a confirmation screen, and your computer will recognize the PSP's Memory Stick Duo as removable media.
Create a directory on your PSP's root folder via your PC's removable media directory and name the folder "FLASH." Copy and paste, or drag-and-drop the Flash .swf extension game files to this folder. Once the transfer is complete, disconnect the PSP from your PC, exit to the PSP's XMB menu, and open the Internet browser. To play the Flash game of your choice, enter "file:flash/(your flash file's name here)filename.swf" and you can begin playing without any need for custom firmware.
