Installing PSP Demos
Connect your PSP to a wireless access point by entering the "Network Settings" menu and selecting "Infrastructure Mode." The PSP will scan automatically for available network connections and display a list of these from which you can choose. Make sure you have the WEP encryption key (password) handy if you are connecting to a secure wireless network.
Once your PSP has established a connection to a wireless Internet access point, go to the "PlayStation Network" icon on the far right of the main menu on your PSP and select "PlayStation Store." If you do not have an existing account, you will need to follow the on-screen instructions to register for access to the online PlayStation Store where demos are available.
Once you have logged in to the PlayStation Store, select the "Demos" option from the main menu screen. Once you click on this option, you will see a list of available game demos available for free download. Select the demo you wish to install and click the "Download" option. Your PSP will display a download progress screen, letting you know the percentage of the download complete and the estimated time left.
Once you have downloaded your game demo, select the "Game" option on your PSP's main menu. Scroll down to the "Memory Stick" icon and select this option. You then will see a small screenshot of your completed demo download and installation on the right of the icon. Select the demo and click the "X" button to start playing.
If you do not have wireless access, you can download Sony's Media Go software from the Resources section below. Using Media Go, you can download PSP demos to your PC, and using a PSP to PC USB cable, you can transfer demo files directly to your PSP, where they will install to the same memory directory under the "Game" option.
