Instructions

    • 1

Download the game from the PlayStation Network to your computer's hard drive, making note of the downloaded file's destination folder. After the download is complete, locate the downloaded game file on your personal computer and keep the file available before you load it onto your PSP.

    • 2

Insert a Memory Stick Duo--the PSP's memory card--in the port at the lower left side of the console. This is where your downloaded game will eventually be stored, so ensure you have enough free space on your Memory Stick Duo by entering the PSP's "Game" menu and scrolling down to the "Memory Stick" option. The amount of free space will display by the icon.

    • 3

Connect your PSP to your PC by using the USB cable--the standard USB end will fit into a USB port on your computer, while the smaller trapezoid-shaped side connects to the port at the base of your PSP. If you're using a PSP go console, you can use the USB connector provided on the unit to connect to your computer.

    • 4

Enable your PSP to communicate with your PC by scrolling to the left side drop-down menu on your PSP, and selecting the "USB Mode" option. When you've enabled this mode, you will see a confirmation screen on your PSP that will display that the console is in USB mode. You are now ready to download your game file from your PC to your PSP.

    • 5

Open the directory from your computer's main drive and double-click on the PSP, which the computer will recognize after the unit is in USB mode. Open the PSP directory and the folder entitled "GAME." Drag and drop your downloaded PSP game or game demo from the directory on your computer into this folder. The download process to your PSP may take several minutes, depending on how large the game file is.

Disconnect your PSP from your PC after the game has been downloaded to the PSP, and remove the game console from USB mode. Under the main menu "Game" option, scroll to the "Memory Stick" option and click the "X" button. You will see the downloaded game file, accompanied with a small screenshot or video, ready to play with a simple click.
