How to Download Games & Convert to PSP

Insert a Memory Stick Duo into the port at the bottom left of your PSP console. This is where the downloaded game will be stored. If you already have a Memory Stick Duo inserted, look beneath the "Games" option on your PSP's menu screen, and check the amount of free space beneath "Memory Stick" to make sure there is enough room for the game file to be converted from your PC to PSP.

Connect your PSP game console to your personal computer using the USB cable. Go to the drop-down menu at the far left of your PSP's main screen and select "USB Mode." You will see a confirmation screen that will notify you that your PSP is in communication with your PSP.

Open the directory on your personal computer where the downloaded PSP game was saved. On your PC's main drive, you will also see an icon for the PSP's memory--click to open this directory, then open the folder entitled "GAME." Drag your downloaded game file from your PC's directory into this folder on your PSP's Memory Stick Duo. The transfer process may take several minutes, depending on how large the game file is.

When transfer is complete, safely remove your PSP's connection with your computer by unplugging the USB cable from both PC and PSP. Take your PSP console out of USB Mode by clicking the "O" button, and return to the main menu screen.

Choose the "Games" option from the main menu screen of your PSP. Beneath this, you will see the "Memory Stick" icon--click the "X" button on this option. To the right, you will see your fully converted and PSP-compatible game title, along with a video or screenshot. Simply click on the game you've successfully converted to your PSP, and the game will load up, ready to play.
