Instructions
Open the Control Panel. Select the "Network and Sharing" option, and click on "Manage network connections" or "Manage devices," depending on the version of Windows you are using.
Select your dial up connection. When the list of network devices installed on your computer pops up, right click on the dial up connection you want to share. Next, click on "Properties," at the bottom of the menu that appears.
Enable sharing of the dial up connection. After clicking "Properties," select the "Sharing" tab in the "Windows Network Connection Properties" window. Next, check "Allow other network users to connect..." and click "OK." If you want to control which network functions can be used by other users (including the PSP), select the "Settings" dialog box before clicking "OK."
Start an ad hoc network. Back in the "Network and Sharing" control panel, create a new network. When prompted to select the network type, choose "Ad hoc."
Set an SSID. The SSID is effectively the name of your ad hoc network. The SSID may be named anything. Next, set the type of network security key you want to require. You may configure the ad hoc network to use no security, WEP or WPA. WPA is the safest, and the PSP supports all three protocols.
Connect the PSP. Turn on your PSP, making sure that the WiFi on/off slider on the top is turned on. Then, open your Settings menu and configure a new network. The PSP will search for all wireless network in range. Select the SSID created in Step 5, and enter the network key if you configured one. The PSP will be connected to the Internet via dial up.
