How to Extract a RAR Game to an ISO File for PSP

The Sony PSP can utilize ISO files as a gaming medium. Sometimes these ISO files may be placed into a compressed RAR archive that will keep the size small until you are ready to use it. RAR stands for Roshal ARchive, and is very similar to the Zip format. You can place any number of files into a RAR archive, compressing them at various ratios. When you want to extract the file(s), or "unrar" them, you need simply use the program you used to create the RAR archive or use one of these.

      Download and install a program such as the examples provided in the Resources section. They will either be free or will include a free limited-time trial period.

      Using 7-zip, a free RAR extractor for Windows: Right-click your RAR file and click "7-Zip." A new menu will appear. Click "Extract files." Select a location for the extracted ISO file, and click "OK" to place the ISO in this location.

      Using WinRAR: Right-click the RAR file and click "Extract files to." WinRAR is not free, but many consider it to be the best archive manager available. Select a location for the extracted ISO and click "OK." Your ISO will be extracted to the location specified.

      Using RarZilla: Right-click the rar file and click "RarZilla" to extract the file to the same directory where it is located. RarZilla is free and works very well.
