How Do You Use the Internet on PSP With USB Cable?

If you think that a hard wired connection is better for the Internet, you don't have to rely on a wireless modem for your PSP connection. Although your PSP needs to connect via a wireless signal, you can strengthen that connection by having your modem connected to a router. If you choose, you can do this with a USB cord, so you are using your USB cord to connect your PSP to the Internet.

Instructions

    • 1

Plug your modem into the Internet source.

    • 2

Connect your modem to your wireless router with a USB cord by plugging one end of the USB cord into the modem and the other into the router.

    • 3

Plug in and turn on your modem and router and wait for it to establish a signal (usually shown by lights on both the modem and router).

    • 4

      Turn on your PSP.

    • 5

Click on the "Settings menu" and go to "Network Settings" and then "Infrastructure Mode" and then "New Connection."

    • 6

Choose "Scan" to scan for a wireless connection. When you see your own connection pop up, highlight it and press the X button to select it. Your PSP will then connect to that Internet connection.
