"Hannah Montana: Rock Out the Show" is a music video game released in August 2009 for the PSP. "Rock Out the Show" features Hannah Montana, a female singer who became popular in her teenage years, and is likely to appeal to younger girls. Licensed by Disney, "Rock Out the Show" is not available for any other gaming system.
Patapon
"Patapon" is a strategy game released by SCEA exclusively for the PSP in February 2008. "Patapon" would appeal to older girls, as it involves strategy and puzzle solving. Aside from the strategic elements of "Patapon," the game also features levels that players must conquer in order to advance the storyline. In total, there are over 30 levels in the game, and there are side objects to collect in order to finish the game with a higher completion rate. Players compete as the leader of a tribe named the Patapon, and the only way to communicate with them is through drums, which are represented by the four main buttons on the PSP (X, circle, square, and triangle).
Little Big Planet
SCEA released "Little Big Planet" for the PSP and PlayStation 3. The PSP version hit shelves in November 2009. "Little Big Planet" works well for girls of all ages, as it lets players scroll through levels from side to side, but also involves tasks such as building and customizing stages throughout the game. Stage creation and customization is as difficult as the player wants to make it, and the main character, Sackboy, can be customized as well. Aside from progressing through levels in Little Big Planet, players can also try their hand at many different puzzles.
