Need for Speed Game Cheats for PSP

The Need for Speed series of video games centers on street racing and allows players to earn cars and customize them. Six Need for Speed games have been released for the PlayStation Portable, or PSP, a handheld gaming system made by Sony. These games are Need for Speed Carbon: Own the City, Need for Speed Most Wanted 5-1-0, Need for Speed ProStreet, Need for Speed Undercover, Need for Speed Underground Rivals, and Need for Speed Shift. All but ProStreet feature cheats to help players unlock aspects of the game.

City Cars
- Defeating characters in races earns new cars in Need for Speed Carbon: Own the City. To get the 911 Carrerra S, players must defeat MK, and besting Jenna earns the Aston Martin DB9. Beating Clutch gets the Carrerra GT and the Lamborghini Gallardo. Topping Marcus unlocks the Chevy Cobalt SS and the VW Golf GTI, while the Chrysler 300 and Pontiac GTO are unlocked by beating Layla 1. Beating Layla 3 gets the RX-8, Toyota Supra, and the Audi TT. Defeating Sly unlocks the Mitsubishi Eclipse, beating Daemon earns the Nissan 350Z, and winning against Striker gets the Pontiac Solstice.
Vinyl
- Different types of vinyl can be unlocked for cars in Need for Speed Most Wanted 5-1-0. To unlock the different vinyl types, players must already own a car and win races against characters to get their vinyl. Beating Bull, Baron, Earl, Izzy, Jade, JV, Kaze, Ming, Ronnie, Sonny, Taz, Vic, and Webster will result in getting their types of vinyl.
Police Cars
- Need for Speed Undercover lets players drive in police cars by finishing specific events in the game's Career mode. To get the Dodge Charger SRT-8, complete the Clean Up event, and to get the Ford Mustang GT, finish the Five-0 event. Finishing the Turn Up the Heat event unlocks the Lamborghini Gallardo, while the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution is earned by completing the Crowd Control event. Finishing the SWAT event unlocks the Porsche 911 GT2.
Lincoln Connector
- Players can easily defeat their opponent in the Lincoln Connector stage of Need for Speed Underground Rivals. To do this, physically push the opponent's car into the area of the stage's shortcut, and the opposing car will become stuck for up to a lap.
Shift Cars
- Several cars in Need for Speed: Shift must be unlocked by beating other characters in races. To get the Acura NSX, beat Ray, and to get the Honda S2000, finish ahead of Karol Monroe. Besting Rod Cruzz will unlock the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution, and beating Mark Demarcher will unlock the BMW M3 EY6. Topping Nate Denver will unlock the Dodge Viper SRT 10, and winning against Aya Vaques will get the Porsche 911 GT3 RS.
