Extra Rep
There are two ways to increase your reputation other than winning races. Open the Cheat menu and type the code "getrep". This gives your reputation a boost. It's also possible to get some extra rep through the GPS. Open the device, press "Square" followed by "R" shoulder button, "L" shoulder button, "Right," "Left," "X," "X." Press "Square" one more time, and the GPS legend will disappear, and your rep will increase over time.
Car Cheat Codes
Most of the cars in the game you can earn and unlock through regular game play, but you can streamline the process with a couple of cheat codes. All of the prize cars can be yours if you go to the Cheat menu and type "coolrides". If you prefer muscle cars, you can unlock all of those with the cheat "toughcars".
Police Cars
Driving the street racers is fun, but if you want to drive and race as a police car, you'll have to unlock it first. For the Tokyo police car, get a 100 percent completion rate in the Tokyo area. This means completing all races and finding all of the secrets. To drive as an L.A. police officer, you'll need to unlock the L.A. police car first. This time, a 100 percent completion of the entire game will unlock the car for you.
Other Special Racers
To drive the sexy 2008 model Audi R8, you'll have to become the champion of L.A. This does, of course, mean you'll have to fight your way to and defeat the champion. The 2006 Pontiac Solstice is a very nice car, and it can be also yours in the game. To win your own, complete the five tournament races in the Ginza district, an area in Tokyo.
