Patapon 2
IGN, a global leader in video gaming technology, names "Patapon 2" the best PSP game released since the debut of the PSP gaming system. The description of the game as "rhythm action strategy mashup" is right on target, as the game requires tapping buttons to catchy tunes to control the battle action of the game. The game offers extensive playability, as you progress through the game you gather materials to help your Patapon evolve and then, using these evolutions, can return to replay previous levels.
God of War: Chains of Olympus
In "God of War: Chains of Olympus," you face off against creatures from Greek mythology by using combat moves. The graphics are exceptional and the characters move with grace and agility. It should be noted that there is nudity in the game and is not suitable for children.
Space Invaders Extreme
It's hard to believe for those of us around at the height of the "Space Invaders" craze that the game has passed it's 30th anniversary. This special edition contains all the classic elements of the arcade shooter along with brand new music and visual effects.
Monster Hunter Freedom Unite
The "Monster Hunter" series is the leading PSP franchise in Japan, and this game is a very good indication of why. You can join up to four players together to hunt for monsters throughout the different levels, or, use the games built in characters to help with your quest in the single player mode. "Monster Hunter Freedom Unite" is all about learning to be the best, and it does require some patience and practice to master the game.
Resistance: Retribution
"Resistance: Retribution" is a third-person perspective shooter, and the third game in the "Resistance" franchise. The game centers on humanity's battle with an alien life form that threatens the world with biological terror. "Resistance: Retribution" offers a single-player mode as well as multiplayer modes that can support up to eight players.
Half-Minute Hero
In "Half-Minute Hero," the "hero" of the game is aptly named "Hero." In each 30-second mission, Hero faces monsters, explores dungeons, shops in villages and defeats evil lords. There are 120 stages providing more than 15 hours of game play. "Half-Minute Hero" is a new type of role-playing game designed to compete with cell phone and iPod gaming applications.
LocoRoco 2
"LocoRoco 2" is simple to learn, easy to control and is addictive. Your skill level increases as you progress through the 25 stages, eating berries and trying to increase the size of your "LocoRoco." Each stage brings new characters and challenges.
