How to Unlock Vanitas' Lingering Spirit in Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep

"Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep" is a fantasy roleplaying game. The main quest takes the player through a series of dungeons and boss battles. Vanitas is a boss in the mid-game, and he appears again as a secret bonus boss after the player beats the game. By beating him a second time, the player gets the game's most powerful sword, the Void Keyblade. The player will find him waiting in the Badlands, a desolate sector of the Keyblade Graveyard.

Instructions

  Complete the main story arc to unlock the post-game content, including Vanitas' Lingering Spirit.

  Exit your current area to go to the World Selection map. Choose the Keyblade Graveyard. The game presents you with two options, Fissure or Badlands. Select Badlands.
- 3
  Proceed forward. The first glowing emblem you'll encounter is Vanitas. Approach the emblem to begin the fight. Once you beat Vanitas, you complete the Lingering Spirit quest and earn the Void Keyblade.
