How to Create .THM Files for PSP

You can upload photos to your PSP using a memory stick, but first you need to convert the file type of your image. This is a fairly simple process that requires a photo editing software. If you do not already have a photo editing software on your computer, you can purchase one, like Adobe Photoshop, try an online trial version of a program, or use freeware. Once you convert the file type from a .JPG to a .THM, the PSP will recognize the file type and you can upload it to your device.

Memory stick

Instructions

  Insert your memory stick into the USB drive of your computer.

  Load your photo editing software on your computer.

  Open the image you want to convert in the photo editing software.

  Click on the option to "Resize" your image.

  Resize the image to 160 pixels by 120 pixels (160 x 120).

  Save the file by clicking the option to "Save As."

  Name your file as you save it.

  Pull the drop down menu for file types and select .THM.

  Select the memory stick as the device you want to save the file on, and then click "Save."

  Insert the memory stick into your PSP.

  Turn on your PSP and select the USB drive as the upload source.
