How to Use the Altar in Patapon

The PSP game "Patapon" mixes rhythm game play with side-scrolling combat and role-playing elements as players control the Patapon through drumbeats. Throughout the game, materials are collected that can then be used to create new types of Patapon to complete the game's missions. After completing the first mission, "Hunting on the Patata Plain," the character Meden will unlock the ability to visit the Treasure Room Altar, essentially an inventory allowing players to chronicle the materials and weapons gathered during missions.

Instructions

  Press the L and R buttons to move through Patapolis until you reach the section containing the Treasure Room Altar.

  Press the d-pad to highlight the Altar. Press the "X" button to select it. The Treasure Room Altar menu will be displayed.

  Press the d-pad to navigate through the items found in the Treasure Room Altar inventory screen. Anything gained through missions will be displayed in this menu, along with descriptions outlining each item's specific use and potential effects. These items may then be used in other areas of Patapolis when needed, but cannot be directly used through the Altar.
