How to Get the Secret Character Shantotto in the Story Mode of Dissidia: Final Fantasy

"Dissidia Final Fantasy" is a fighting game for the PlayStation Portable that stars characters, both heroes and villains, from the "Final Fantasy" role-playing game series. The game's roster includes the Tarutaru sorceress Doctor Shantotto from "Final Fantasy XI," the series' first massively multiplayer online role-playing game. Shantotto makes up for her lack of physical size by using a variety of spells and abilities from "FFXI" to deal magical damage to her opponents. Shantotto is not immediately available and must be unlocked through the game's story mode.

Instructions

  Complete at least five Destiny Odyssey stories in story mode. Each of the heroes has his own storyline, called a Destiny Odyssey. These storylines are comprised of a cut scene before and after a fight. When you complete the fight, a new chapter in the story will unlock and be selectable from the story menu. At the end of each Destiny Odyssey, your character will face a battle against his villainous counterpart.

  Complete all four Shade Impulse storylines. Shade Impulse storylines are additional storylines that are unlocked in the North American version of "Dissidia" after you complete your first Destiny Odyssey.

  Complete Distant Glory to have a battle against Shantotto. Completing all four Shade Impulses and five Destiny Odyssey stories unlocks the Distant Glory storyline.

  Exit to the main menu once you defeat Shantotto and enter the game's shop from the title screen. The shop will display a list of items that you can buy with PP, the in-game currency you earn by completing battles. After you defeat Shantotto in Distant Glory, she will appear as an option in the shop and can be purchased for 1,000 PP. When you purchase her, you can use her in any of the game's modes.
