How to Get All of the Power-Ups in Mega Man (Vile Mode)

In the PlayStation Portable, or PSP, remake "Mega Man: Maverick Hunter X," you can play through the game as the character "Vile." During game-play, Vile gains a vast arsenal of weapons, which you receive after beating bosses in the game. Most categories of weapons unlock only after defeating a specific boss, while other weapons in the same category unlock from beating other bosses. In addition, you can get several armor upgrades as Vile that increase his speed and reduce damage to him.

Instructions

- 1
  Defeat the following bosses for certain Vulcan-type weapons: Chill Penguin for the Distance Needler, Flame Mammoth for the Triple 7, Armored Armadillo for the Zip Zapper, and Sting Chameleon for the Buckshot Dance.

  Defeat Launch Octopus to make missile type weapons available, and after defeating him unlocks Humerus Crash, unlock more of them by defeating the following bosses: Sting Chameleon for Popcorn Demon, Storm Eagle for Banzai Beetle, Chill Penguin for Serotinal Bullet, and Boomer Kuwanger for Lost Lamb.

  Defeat Spark Mandrill to make punch type weapons available, and after defeating him unlocks Go-Getter Right, unlock more of them by defeating the following bosses: Launch Octopus for Spoiled Brat and Golden Right, Armored Armadillo for Egotistical Pill, and Chill Penguin for Infinity Gig.

  Defeat the following bosses for blast type weapons: Sting Chameleon for Trident Line, Boomer Kuwanger for Fatboy, Flame Mammoth for Fire Murrain, and Storm Eagle for Longshot Gizmo.

  Defeat Sting Chameleon to unlock laser type weapons, and after beating him unlocks Cerberus Phantom, unlock more of them by defeating the following bosses: Flame Mammoth for Nervous Ghost and Rising Specter, Storm Eagle for Straight Nightmare, and Launch Octopus for Necro Burst.

  Defeat Boomer Kuwanger to unlock boomerang weapons, and after beating him unlocks Metal Crescent, unlock more of them by defeating the following bosses: Flame Mammoth for Quick Homesick, Chill Penguin for Parasite Sword, Launch Octopus for Two-Headed Slash, and Armored Armadillo for Marooned Tomahawk.

  Defeat the following bosses for bomb type weapons: Spark Mandrill for Rumbling Bang, Launch Octopus for Splash Hit, Armored Armadillo for Territorial Pow, and Storm Eagle for Bangaway Bomb.

  Defeat Armored Armadillo to unlock ball type weapons, and after beating him unlocks Deathstar Hug, unlock more of them by defeating the following bosses: Spark Mandrill for Peace Out Roller, Flame Mammoth for Sword Bouquet, Sting Chameleon for Hot Icicle, and Boomerang Kuwanger for Stubborn Crawler.

  Defeat Flame Mammoth to unlock flamethrower type weapons, and after beating him unlocks Wild Horse Kick, unlock more of them by defeating the following bosses: Storm Eagle for Dragon's Wrath, Sting Chameleon for Green-eyed Lamp, Chill Penguin for Sea Dragon's Rage, and Boomer Kuwanger for Burning Drive.

  Defeat the following bosses to get armor power-ups: Chill Penguin for the Frozen Castle, and Storm Eagle for the Speed Devil.
