How Do I Get Past Geyser Rock on Sims Castaway 2 for the PSP?

In "The Sims 2: Castaway," you and your friends are separated after you become stranded on a tropical island. You need to explore the island and find your friends while creating shelter and hunting for food. On your journey, you are required to own certain tools before moving past several areas, such as Geyser Rock. To get through the blockage at Geyser Rock, you must own a chisel. The chisel is crafted at a bamboo workbench.

Instructions

  Build a quick shelter: Pause the game, select "Shelters" and select "Roof." You must create any kind of shelter to unlock the plans to make the bamboo crafting bench. This is one of your first goals when the game begins, so you have likely already completed it.

  Combine two rocks to create a regular crafting bench. Rocks are found virtually anywhere, such as in caves, in the jungle or on beaches.

  Build your Mechanical skill to level two by making items at the crafting bench. Gather 16 pieces of bamboo and 14 vines from the jungle. Combine the items at the bench to make the bamboo crafting bench. Unlike the regular bench, you can take this one with you.

  Find a rock and then pause the game. Select the bamboo crafting bench from the inventory. Select "Tools" and "Stone Chisel." The stone chisel is placed in your inventory.

  Play the game until you reach the third island. Exit the beach via the Cliff Trail, a path that leads you to Volcano Jungle.

  Take the far path in Volcano Jungle to reach Geyser Plains. Walk up the path that leads you above the Geyser Rock. When you reach the top, your Sim automatically uses the chisel to knock the rock down. The path to the next area, Volcano Overlook, is now clear.
