How to Use Golbez Without a GameShark or an Action Replay

Golbez is one of the main characters in "Dissidia Final Fantasy" for the PlayStation Portable. He originally appeared in "Final Fantasy IV" as one of the main antagonists fighting against Cecil, Golbez's brother and the hero of the game. Many of the playable characters in "Dissidia Final Fantasy" are immediately available for use when you first start the game, but some, such as Golbez, must be purchased from the in-game catalog after you have started the game.

Instructions

  Play any mode of the game until you have accumulated 500 PP. These are points that you can spend in the PP Catalog. You earn PP by completing chapters in Story Mode and fights in Arcade Mode and Quick Fight. PP is also awarded by checking your email in Mognet.

  Go to the "Dissidia Final Fantasy" main menu. Scroll down to "PP Catalog" with the thumbstick and select it with "X." This brings you to the PP Catalog, where you can buy playable characters, songs and other features.

  Scroll through the "Characters" tab -- the PP Catalog opens on this tab by default. Highlight the different characters until you find Golbez. Press "X" to purchase him. Confirm that you want to buy Golbez as a playable character by highlighting "Yes" and pressing "X" when prompted. When you go to the Character Select screen before a fight, Golbez will appear in the list.
