How to Get the Patapon Don Drum

The Don drum is the last drum you'll get in the PSP rhythm game "Patapon." It allows you to access various juju, or magic spells. You'll need one of these, the "Rain juju," to finish the Desert Crossing level. Getting the Don drum can be a bit confusing, since there are no clear instructions from the game as to how to get the bent compass from the totem in the Patata Plains mission.

Instructions

    • 1

Go to the Patata Plains after beating Dodonga in the "Ancestral Guardian" mission.

    • 2

Move your Patapon three times with the march command by pressing "Square," "Square," "Square" and "Circle." This will bring the Patapon army near the totem.

    • 3

Press "Triangle," "Circle," "Triangle" and "Circle" to raise the totem from the ground. Do this three more times to reveal the totem. The bent compass will then pop out of the totem.

    • 4

Take the bent compass by marching your army over it. Finish the level after you gain this item.

    • 5

Talk to Meden back in the Patapon camp to unlock the Miracle of Lostdon level. Meden can be recognized by her cape, tiara and scepter. She can usually be found in the first screen of the Patapon camp after you finish a level or load a saved game.

    • 6

Enter the new Miracle of Lostdon level. You'll see a black tombstone at the beginning. Destroy it with the attack command by pressing "Circle," "Circle," "Square" and "Circle." The Don drum will pop out of the destroyed tombstone. Get the drum by marching your Patapon army over to the item.
