How to Get Rid of the Red Vines in Castlevania: The Dracula X Chronicles

It's a little difficult to tell what the barriers are made of because of the PSP's screen size, but the red barriers are bones, not vines; regardless of what they're made of, though, the method of destruction is the same. Players who are familiar with the original release of Rondo of Blood will find that the Maidens have been relocated; Sister Tera, who you must rescue in order to break those red barriers, is now found in the alternate version of Stage 3, known in-game as Stage 3'.

Instructions

- 1
  Enter the alternate version of Stage 3 (Stage 3') and play through until you fight the three-eyed boss.

  Defeat the 3-eyed boss. The Axe subweapon is recommended for this purpose; you have to destroy its eyes, not attack its face. Take the lower path after defeating the boss.

  Strike the top part of the wall under the overhang where the door is located, then work your way down the wall until it is completely destroyed.
- 4
  Pass through into the new area and go down the stairs to rescue Tera, who gives you a charm that allows you to destroy Blood Skeletons and Blood Skeleton Barriers, both of which regenerate unless you have the charm.
