How to: Armored Metal Peace Walker

One of the toughest battles you face in "Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker" is with an armored vehicle and its security detail. As with most major battles in other "Metal Gear Solid" games, you can attempt to deal with this enemy head-on or use your equipment and wits to outsmart the enemy and destroy it using stealth tactics. Although more time-consuming, the stealth method is much easier due to the armored vehicle's overwhelming firepower.

Instructions

- 1
  Run to the right after the cut scene showing the armored vehicle is over. Go to the large storage building in the distance -- you can see it from where you are standing. While still outside of the building, stand to the left of the doorway and crouch down.

  Equip your binoculars and watch the armored vehicle and the four enemy soldiers that are guarding it. Wait for them to start moving forward, then go into the storage building. Walk to the opposite doorway and peek around the corner.

  Run out of the building as soon as the armored vehicle and soldiers are just past the doorway. Use stealth kills on the two soldiers in the rear of the tank, then kill the two forward soldiers using the same method.

  Backtrack slightly to find two large storage containers. Hide behind them and wait for another wave of soldiers to come out of the back of the tank. At this point, the tank turns around and goes back up the path, past where you are standing. Use the same method you used earlier to dispatch the soldiers.

  Wait for the the third and final wave of enemy soldiers to come out of the back of the tank and kill them. Once you do this, the tank commander appears. Throw a smoke grenade near your hiding spot, then stand just inside of the smoke so that you can see the tank, but it can't see you. Use any of your guns to fire on the commander until he is dead to take the armored vehicle out of commission.
