How to Put Custom Tracks on Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories

"Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories" (GTA: Vice City Stories) takes place two years prior to Rockstar's hit PS2 game "Grand Theft Auto: Vice City." GTA: Vice City Stories was released in late October in 2006 exclusively on the PSP. Rockstar made integrating custom audio tracks with the game a breeze with the release of "Rockstar Custom Tracks," a free file conversion program designed specifically for playing music on a PSP.

Instructions

      Download and install "Rockstar Custom Tracks." Follow the installation prompts.

      Create a "GTA: Vice City Stories" save file by starting a new game, pressing the "Start" button, and choosing the "Save" option.

      Insert the music CD into your computer. Double click on the "Rockstar Custom Tracks" icon to open the program, it will automatically detect the CD.

      Plug the PSP into the computer via USB and set it to USB mode, by scrolling to the far left of the start menu until "USB Connection" appears in the center of the screen and pressing the "X" button.

      Click the check box next to each track on the CD you would like to convert in "Rockstar Custom Tracks" and click the button with a picture of CD and an arrow pointing to a PSP.

      Click on the "GTA: Vice City Stories" button in the pop-up window to designate where the converted tracks will be stored. Wait until "Rockstar Custom Tracks" has finished converting the files before proceeding with the next step.

      Eject the PSP by clicking on the "Add/Remove Hardware" button in the lower left corner of the computer screen, highlighting the "PSP" option and clicking the "Eject" button.

      Detach the USB cable from the PSP and computer. Turn on the PSP and start the game. Scroll down to "Options" in the main menu and press "X." Scroll down to "Audio" and press "X." Scroll down to "Custom Tracks" and press the right direction key to turn the option from "Off" to "On" and press "X." Press "O" to go back to the main menu and resume your game, you should now hear your custom tracks when you enter a vehicle.
