Hints for The Sims 2: Castaway for the PSP

"The Sims 2: Castaway" is a spin-off from the second title in "The Sims" computer game series. This spin-off puts you in control of people marooned on an island, and it challenges you to make a life for them. The game was released in 2007 for the Nintendo DS, Wii, PS2 and the PSP. Some hints and tricks for the PSP version will help you unlock clothing and increase your skill levels. You can even get abducted by aliens.

Gnome Cheats
- Press "L," "R," "Up," "X" and "R" inside a lot in "Live" mode. A gnome will appear somewhere in the lot. When you find it, stand next to it and press "X." You can now enter a cheat and the gnome will activate it. Enter all the cheats quickly. Press "Left," "Right," "Square," "R" and "Square" to fill up your inventory and "L," "Up," "R," "Left" and "Triangle" to max out your relationships. Fill your motives to their maximum by pressing "R," "Up," "X," "Square" and "L." Get the maximum amount of food allowed by entering "Square," "Square," "Square," "Square" and "L." Press "Square," "Triangle," "R," "Down," "Down" and "Up" to unlock all of the crafting resources.
Unlockable Content
- Explore the pier on East Beach to unlock a canoe and venture into the Hidden Lagoon for tribal clothes. There's no particular area to search on the pier or in the lagoon -- this content is unlocked by just going to these places. You can unlock a bungalow for chopping sandalwood for the first time. Sandalwood trees are located on Volcano Island. Hunt a boar to receive a scarecrow and clothes made from boar skin. You can find boars on Airplane Island. If you see feathers on the floor, set up a trap in this area and come back after a few hours. If you catch a chicken, you'll unlock a chicken coop.
Hidden Hieroglyphics
- There are many secret hieroglyphics in "The Sims 2: Castaway" that you can collect. Find one to the right of the Llama Temple door in Geyser Plains. Another can be found on the ship in Shipwreck Lagoon; look to the left of the ramp. Search to the left of the skull rock in Skull Rock Jungle to find another piece of hieroglyphics. One is also located on Pier Beach, next to the ancient pier.
Improve Your Body Skill
- Hike up the volcano on the third island and stop next to the peak. Set your sim to continuously mine the ore. Add a bed and stove for sleeping and eating. This will raise your "Body Skill" level quickly.
Alien Abduction
- Send out an SOS with the radio when you're on Crystal Island. An alien spacecraft will swoop down and abduct you. Don't worry -- it will bring you back, and you'll even return with a can of alien food.
