How to Install Madden Roster Updates on PSP

The "Madden NFL" video game series, named after the famed American coach and commentator John Madden, was the first breakout sports title for the home video market. In 2004, the "Madden" series took to the Internet gaming world, which made roster updates possible. The updates are available through Electronic Arts, the company that makes the "Madden" games. Trades, injuries and other changes from the real game can be reflected immediately on most "Madden" titles.

Instructions

  Call up the online menu specific to your version of "Madden." You will be required to sign into the Electronic Arts servers and the Internet if you haven't already.

  Select a "quick match" setting to join an online game. If roster updates are available, a prompt will display and you will be required to download the roster update. As an alternative, enter the "Depth Chart" sub-menu. Download the roster update from there if it's available.

  Push an affirmative response, such as "Yes, download and save roster update," when the game asks for confirmation.

  Play the online game or quit before it begins if you wish to play offline. Saved roster updates will show up in any subsequent games.
