If you are purchasing a PSP for the first time, look for retailers that offer a bundled package. Many stores like GameStop or EB Games will offer deals that include game accessories, including a memory card.
Try for a trade-in. If you are upgrading your system, or simply have games you no longer play, many game stores will buy these games back from you. Some stores may be willing to negotiate an even exchange for a new memory card instead of a cash or store credit refund.
Attend promotional events, gaming conventions and grand openings of game stores. Sony will often give out free memory sticks to encourage the purchase of a PSP or new PSP game. Conventions like E3 have booths set up by different companies vying for the attention of the market; a new memory card may be part of the "swag" at these events.
Check the Sandisk and Sony websites for coupons. Other online places to check include Gamefly, ToysRUs, Gamestop, FocalPrice and DayDeal. These coupons and rebates sometimes exceed the price of a memory card, which can cost up to $30 new.
