Will a PSP 2000 AV Cable Fit a PSP 3000?

The AV cable allows you to connect your PSP device to a TV and to play games from the big screen. As long as you have a composite AV cable, you will be able to use either the PSP 2000 or the PSP 3000 to connect to the TV. However, you may need additional products to use your PSP 2000 with the AV cable.

Component Cable
- The PSP 2000 includes an AV composite cable, which can be connected to the TV and is used for enjoying photos, music and video from the PSP. However, the component cable is also needed in order to play games. The composite cable lets you connect the device, while the component cable is used specifically for playing games.
PSP 2000
- The PSP 2000 also requires an HDTV with progressive scan, which is fortunately built into new TV models today that feature HD options. If the TV does have progressive scan, which refers to the channel input of an LCD HDTV, PSP 2000 users can enjoy game play.
PSP 3000
- The PSP 3000 only requires the composite AV cable, similar to the PSP 2000 AV cable. Once the cable is connected to the PSP 3000 and the TV output, you will be able to select an output channel and enjoy playing the game.
