Things You'll Need
Instructions
Unplug your PSP from the power adapter, if it's currently plugged in. Turn off the system. Slide the battery cover off and remove the battery. You'll want your system shut down before changing the LED color.
Remove the screws that hold the faceplate in place. There will be two underneath the battery and two more underneath the warranty sticker. There are two more on the back right of the PSP and one last screw adjacent to the PSP's serial number.
Cut the cables that connect the LED light to the PSP's motherboard. These cables are red and located on the bottom righthand side of the PSP. Take the LED light and cables out of the PSP.
Strip the connection cables on your new LED light.
Solder the new LED cables to the PSP's motherboard. You'll want to solder the new cables in the same spot where the old cables were.
Set the new LED light in place by using a hot glue gun. Make sure that you give the glue ample time to dry before reassembling your PSP.
Reassemble your PSP. Replace all seven screws, tightening them so that the faceplate isn't loose.
