How to Beat Strip Mine 2 in Daxter

"Daxter" is an action game developed by Ready at Dawn and released by SCEA for the Sony PSP hand-held console. In the game, players take on the role of Daxter (from the popular "Jak and Daxter" series), who must escape from a massive jail. While one of the levels in the game, the second Strip Mine level, is difficult to get through, it gets much easier if you know what to do.

Instructions

- 1
  Talk to the miner after the first cutscene ends. Take a left while facing the miner and cross the dark eco area. Take a right and jump on the treadmill device to progress through the level.

  Equip your Ultra Sonic attachment and destroy the boulders in your path. Continue through the passageway, blowing up the boulders as necessary and you will get to a room with a few treadmill devices. Jump on the treadmills to get though the room.

  Head up the path, and destroy the next set of boulders to get to a room with a hive. Torch the hive with a fire weapon, and continue on through the next set of rocks at the end of the room. Destroy the two sets of rocks in the next room to get some Precursor Orbs and open a path to the next room. Torch the hive in the next room and keep going.

  Jump on the treadmills in the next room, but avoid the metal objects trying to block your path. Jump to the left in the middle of the room if you want to destroy another hive. Otherwise, jump up to a higher set of treadmills and jump across them to get through the room.

  Take a left at the crate holding dirt to get into the next room. Take a left in this room and run to the single crate, which contains a lift to the next room. Jump on the lift, then get on the first treadmill you see. Jump on the second treadmill and take it to the right and find another hive to destroy.

  Jump back onto the second treadmill again and take it to the left side to get through the room. Again, you will come to two sets of boulders that you can destroy. Destroy these boulders to obtain two Precursor Orbs and open a path to the next room.

  Destroy the next set of boulders in your path to find a room full of hives. Destroy them all and go back to the last room with a treadmill. Ride the main treadmill to the end of the room to find another hive, then turn right and destroy another set of rocks to keep going.

  Destroy all of the boulder sets in your path to get to the bottom of the next room. Jump on the lift you find to ride it to the top of the room. Get through the boulders in this room, destroy the hive, and move on through the next sets of boulders. Run behind the miner in this room and jump onto the platform behind him. Destroy the boulders and the hive behind the miner.

  Backtrack to the room with the three sets of treadmills and hover all of the way to the left to find a set of boulders. Destroy these boulders to find a room full of hives. Destroy these hives and return to the first room with the miner. Take the door on the left side of the room to get through the level.
