How to Open a PSP Slim UMD Door

The "PSP Slim" is a nickname given to the PSP model 2000 version in areas of the world that support PAL as a video standard. There is no difference between a "PSP 2000" and a "PSP Slim," though the unit was marketed as a "PSP 2000" in the United States. To play a universal media disc on your PSP Slim, you need to insert it into the unit&'s disc tray. This tray is protected by a door on the back of the unit.

      Turn your PSP Slim around so the rear panel is facing you. You will clearly see the outline of the UMD door on the back of your PSP Slim.

      Press down on and then use your finger to pull open the UMD door. Pull it gently away from the back of the system. This will reveal the PSP Slim&'s UMD disc tray.

      Insert a game or movie into the disc tray and then close the door with your finger. Once the door is closed and your system is on, the disc will automatically load onscreen.
