How to Get Carbalite Ore on Monster Hunter Freedom 2

Monster Hunter Freedom 2 is an action role-playing game for the PlayStation Portable. The player must gather materials to upgrade weapons and equipment. Carbalite Ore can be mined in Pokke Farm once the mining points are upgraded high enough. This ore is used to create and upgrade some of the higher-level weapons in the game. The upgrade for mining Carbalite Ore will not be available until the Guild Quest “The Approaching Gaoren” has been completed.

Instructions

- 1
  Talk to the Caretaker on Pokke Farm. He is the man in the yellow jacket with a backpack outside the buildings. The list of upgrades available will appear.

  Buy “Mining Point +1” from the upgrade list for 4,000 Pokke Points. Pokke Points are awarded for completing Training School and Treasure Hunting quests. This upgrade can be purchased much earlier in the game--after “The Ruler of the Snow” quest is completed--but it will not allow Carbalite Ore to be mined. It is required for the next upgrade.

  Buy “Mining Point +2” from the upgrade list for 6,000 Pokke Points. This upgrade allows the player to mine Carbalite Ore on Pokke Farms. This upgrade can be bought once “The Approaching Gaoren” quest is completed.

  Walk up to any crack in a rock or stone on Pokke Farms.

  Press the “Square” button to mine the crack. You will receive three or four random items, which can include Carbalite Ore. Once you receive the items, the crack cannot be mined until it is replenished.
- 6
  Fail or complete any quest. This will replenish all of the mining cracks on Pokke Farms. Abandoning a quest will not replenish the cracks.
