NBA 09: The Inside
Released for the PSP game system in October of 2008, "NBA 09: The Inside" offers gamers arcade-style basketball action and features a large variety of NBA-themed mini-games, such as pinball machine play and carnival games. During the course of a typical five-on-five NBA match-up, the gamer will choose from a variety of NBA players and pick the five he/she feels is most effective. After choosing these five players, the gamer can jump directly into the basketball action and choose from a large selection of NBA court venues to play the opposing team in.
NBA 2K10
Designed by video game software corporation 2K Sports, and released for the PSP in October of 2009, "NBA 2K10" is a ported version of the same game that 2K Sports developed for the PlayStation 2 system. Rather than focus its efforts on designing a simulation-only type of game for "NBA 2K10," 2K Sports developed a quicker-paced NBA game in which the gamer picks one NBA team to play as during the course of one season and plays all opposing teams until the NBA Finals begin.
NBA Live 10
Game developer EA Sports released the "NBA Live 10" sports title to PSP gaming fans in October of 2009. This game boasts plenty of modes for PSP gamers to enjoy, including a dynasty and season mode. The be-a-pro mode challenges players to excel in a large variety of mini-games, in which the gamer needs to score a certain amount of basketball goals in order to unlock specific video game rewards. Commentator Marv Albert provides the voice-over work describing the plays, and the crowd noises sound decent coming out of the PSP&'s small speakers.
