Things You'll Need
Instructions
Turn off the PS2. Connect the PS2 network adapter if you're using the larger PS2. Remove the expansion cover on the back of the PS2 and insert the network adapter, with the arrow on the adapter facing upward. Use a coin (do not use a screwdriver) to tighten the network adapter into place.
Connect one end of the Ethernet cable into the "Ethernet" port on the network adapter, or built-in "Ethernet" port on the slim PS2. Connect the opposite end of the Ethernet cable into the "Ethernet" port on the router or USB wireless adapter.
Turn on the PS2. Insert the online startup disc that comes with the network adapter. If you don't have the start up disc, the only way to configure the Internet connection is to start the online mode in a game that has one.
Use the on-screen keyboard to enter a name for the connection. Select "High Speed Connection" as your connection type. Select "Automatic." The PS2 will begin searching for a wireless connection. Select the name of your wireless connection and use the on-screen keyboard to enter the password (if any). The PS2 will test the connection. If the test is successful, you will be connected. If the test is unsuccessful, the error message and most common solution will be displayed on-screen.
