How to Play God of War 2 in PS2

"God of War 2" for the PlayStation 2 was released in 2007. The sequel to "God of War," the game features Kratos, who you control in an action-adventure through Greek mythology. The gameplay involves fighting across levels, defeating creatures and jumping in the third person to complete your quest.

Instructions

    • 1

Switch on your PlayStation 2 and insert the "God of War 2" disc. Wait for the game to boot up.

    • 2

Choose the "New Game" option on the main menu. Select the difficulty level -- "Mortal" is easy, "Spartan" is normal and "God" is hard. Note that the "Titan" option (very hard) only becomes available once you have completed the game on any of the other difficulty settings.

    • 3

Use the left analog joypad to move Kratos round the game world. Use the right analog stick to evade the enemies when they are attacking.

    • 4

Press the "X" button to jump. Press it twice to double jump. Press the square button to perform a normal attack and the triangle button to perform a less time-consuming light attack. Grab an enemy by pressing the circle button and inflict damage to them while you are holding them by pressing either the triangle or square button. Use the L1 button to block attacks.

    • 5

Perform midair attacks by pressing the attack buttons while in the process of jumping.

    • 6

Use the arrow keys on the D-pad to select the sort of magic you wish to use on enemies, and unleash the magic spell by pressing the L2 button.

    • 7

Learn the layout of the game screen to maximize your chances of success within the game; the "Blade Icon" in the top left shows you meters for "Health," "Magic," the "Amulets of Fate" plus the "Magic Ability" that is currently selected. Use a particular power and its individual meter will drain, usually requiring time to refill. For the Health Meter though, collect Green Health Orbs from slain foes and green chests to recharge it, and for the Magic Meter, do the same but collect blue items instead.
