How to Install a Neon Light in a PS2

Neon light modifications are popular among advanced electronics users. You can add neon light kits, available from a wide variety of retailers, to the interiors of video game consoles and computers in minutes. To install a neon light in your Sony PlayStation 2, you will need to open the console.

Neon light kit
Phillips screwdriver

  Unplug the PS2 from the power outlet and TV audio/visual cables. Remove the square rubber tabs from the bottom of the machine, then unscrew the Phillips screws under each tab with a screwdriver.

  Lift open the PS2 case and unpack your neon light kit. Attach the adhesive squares included in your neon light kit to the bottom of your light, then attach the light to the area of your PS2 console's interior you wish to illuminate. Switch on the neon light's power supply to activate the light.

  Reconnect the PS2's case and screw the Phillips screws in again. Attach the console's power and audio/visual cables again before turning the PS2 on again. You can switch the interior neon light on and off using the power supply switch inside the console.
