How to Play Mark Davis Pro Bass Challenge

PlayStation 2 Controls

  Highlight "Practice," "Arcade" or "Tournament" mode in the main menu with either the right or left analog stick and press the "X" button to enter that game mode. The in-game controls do not change for each mode, but the competition and arcade modes enable players to earn additional equipment, tackle and gear. Pause the game at any time by pressing the "Start" button.

  Move the boat left or right by pressing the left analog stick in the appropriate direction. Move the boat forward or back in the water by pressing the left analog stick up or down, respectively, while holding in the "Square" button.

  Press the "Up" button on the D-pad to open the menu screen, then use the "Right" or "Left" D-pad buttons to scroll through the tackle, gear, bait and rod menus. Press the "L1" or "R1" button to navigate each menu screen, and press the "X" or "Circle" button to select a rod, lure, bait, etc. Press the "Square" button or the "Triangle" button to scroll back through each menu until you return to the game screen.

  Line up your casting target by moving the crosshairs with the left analog stick. Press the "X" or "Circle" button to cast your lure.

  Reel in your lure by moving the right analog stick down. Hold in the "Circle" button to reel the line in quickly or hold in the "X" button to reel in the line slowly. While reeling in the line, maneuver the angle of your fishing rod by pressing one of the D-pad's four directional buttons.

GameCube Controls

  Highlight "Practice," "Arcade" or "Tournament" mode in the main menu with the control stick and press the "A" button to enter that game mode. Pause the game at any time by pressing the "Start/Pause" button.

  Move the boat by pressing the control stick in any direction. Press the "A" button to have your character stand up in the boat.

  Press the "Y" button to bring up the "Tackle Box" menu. Scroll through the inventory choices (rod, lures, etc.) and press the "A" button to select any item. Press the "Up" button on the D-pad to set the lure on the hook.

  Line up your casting target by moving the crosshairs with the Control Stick. Press the "A" button to cast your lure.

  Reel in your lure by moving the "C-stick" in a down direction while holding in the "A" or "B" button. Hold in the "A" button to quickly reel in the lure or hold in the "B" button to slowly pull in the lure. Change the angle of your rod while reeling in the lure by pressing one of the four directional buttons on the control pad.
