DIY Guitar for the PS2

"Guitar Hero" and "Rock Band" are competing musical game series that have been released across multiple platforms, including the Sony PlayStation 2. In this game, players must use a plastic guitar to play notes that appear on the television screen. Because the PlayStation 2 doesn't support a wireless connection by default, you must use a small device called a dongle to connect it.

     Plug the dongle, which is shaped like a thick, black box, into the Controller 1 slot on the front of the PlayStation 2.

     Press the small, black button on the dongle. The light will flash, indicating it is seeking a connection.

     Press the PlayStation logo on your guitar. The light on the dongle will remain on, indicating the guitar is connected to the PlayStation 2.
