How to Play a DVD on PS2

The PlayStation 2, or PS2, is primarily a video game player but it also functions as a DVD player. Playing a DVD is very much the same as playing a game since both discs go in the same disc holder. The player is normally operated through the Dualshock2 controller, but it can also work with a separate DVD controller.

Instructions

- 1
  Push the "Open" button on the lower right front of the console. The button has a symbol that looks like a triangle pointing up. The disc cover will open.

  Place the DVD in the disc holder. The label must be facing up.

  Touch the open button to close the disc cover. You may also press in the middle of the disc cover to close it. The disc should begin playing automatically.
- 4
  Press the select button on the Dualshock2 controller to access the menu for the DVD player. Use the directional buttons to select the icon you want on the menu and press the "X" button.
