Ensure that the power outlet supplying electricity to your PlayStation 2 Slim is on.
Switch the power outlet off. Now remove the power cable from the back of the PlayStation 2 Slim.
Inspect the power cord for any signs of damage. Inspect the power slot on the console to ensure nothing is blocking the port. Reinsert the power cable and try and turn the PlayStation 2 Slim back on.
Source a new power cable and try again, if this does not work.
Contact Sony support to send the device in for repair If these steps do not work and your console is still under warranty.
Contact Sony for it to be repaired even if you're out of warranty. You will be charged a repair fee. You can also go online and search for local console repair providers, who may be able to carry out the work required more cheaply and quickly.
