How to Use Action Replay Max with the PS2

The "Action Replay Max" SD card and software allows PS2 users to cheat without modifying, or "modding," the PS2 or the PS2's games. You can do this by downloading cheat codes for specific games. With the cheat codes, you can enable new abilities or edit the game to a setting you prefer. By downloading the latest "Action Replay Max" software you can hack the SD card to have more available cheats for the games you play.

  Download and install "Action Replay Max" software onto the computer (see Resources).

  Turn the switch on the side of the "Action Replay Max" SD card to "Unlocked." Attach it into the USB port of the computer.

  Launch the "Action Replay Max" software application on the computer. Select "AR Max Codelist" from the main menu.

  Click "OK." This will install the latest code database to the SD card. Eject the "Action Replay Max" SD card from the computer. Insert it into the USB port on the PS2 to start utilizing it.
