How to Modify Cars in Grand Theft Auto San Andreas

Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas gives players the ability to modify cars used in the game. Players purchase modifications such as a new paint job, tires, new, stereo, suspension and a nitrous oxide booster. The changes enable the character to handle the car better and drive faster, which are two important components when fleeing the cops. San Andreas has modification shops scattered throughout the area.

      Visit any Spray 'N' Pay shop for a new paint job. Open the game's map to locate a shop and drive to the marker dressed as a spray can.

      Visit the Loco Low Company to modify a lowrider. The shop is located in Willowfield, which is in the Los Santos section of San Andreas. Lowrider cars include the Blade, Broadway, Remington, Savanna, Slamvan, Voodoo and Tornado. Loco Low Company provides modifications for the car's roof, front and rear bumpers, exhaust and sideskirts. Other minor modifications include lights, grills and seats.

      Visit Wheel Arch Angels to modify street racing cars. Street racers include the Elegy, Flash, Jester, Stratum, Sultan, and Uranus. The shop is located in Ocean Flats, which is in the San Fierro section of San Andreas. Wheel Arch Angels does modifications on the roof, rear and front bumpers, exhaust, spoilers and sideskirts.

      Visit Transfender to modify all other cars in San Andreas. Transfender locations are in different sections of San Andreas. There is one in Temple in Los Santo, in Doherty in San Fierro and in Come-A-Lot in the Las Venturas section. Transfender modifications include roofs, hood vents, racing scoops, spoilers, exhausts, fog lamps and skirts.
