My Guitar Hero: World Tour Mic for PS2 Is Not Working

"Guitar Hero: World Tour" is a music simulation game that allows you to play and sing along to a wide variety of songs using controllers modeled after real-life instruments. The PS2 version of "Guitar Hero: World Tour" uses a USB microphone that connects to either USB port on the front of the PS2. If the microphone is not working, following a list of troubleshooting solutions will correct all but a broken microphone.

Instructions

    • 1

Turn off the PS2. Disconnect the microphone from the USB port and plug it back in. Confirm that it is connected properly and secure. Make sure at least one regular PS2 controller is connected as you need one controller to go with each microphone connected.

    • 2

Turn the PS2 on and start "Guitar Hero: World Tour."

    • 3

Select "Options" on the main menu. Select "Microphone" and adjust the incoming voice level until the microphone picks up your voice at normal speaking levels.
