How to Unlock Everything for Mortal Kombat: Armageddon on the PS2

The seventh game in the long-running Mortal Kombat" video game series, Midway's "Mortal Kombat: Armageddon" for the PlayStation 2 focuses on arcade-style fighting between two of over 60 characters available to choose. Like "Mortal Kombat: Deception" before it, "Armageddon" also offers a "Konquest Mode" which follows one character, new addition Taven, through an adventure-style story. Unlocking items in arcade mode, from characters to alternate costumes, requires that players complete Konquest Mode while collecting all 60 relics scattered across the levels within the game.

Instructions

- 1
  Collect the six relics in Botan Jungle by breaking environmental elements such as stumps and fallen trees and fully exploring each area. Relics on this level come from Kobra, Kira, Kai, Cage, Jarek and Kabal.

  Collect all five relics in the Temple of Argus. Collecting the tenth relic unlocks Meat as a playable character. Fully explore the area, opening chests and doubling back, to find relics belonging to Dairou, Hotaru, Stryker, Moloch and Hsu Hao.

  Collect all six relics in the Tekunin Warship withing the 30 minutes of the level. Open chests and search bodies to find items from Cyrax, Kung Lao, Nightwolf, Sektor, Jade and Sonya.

  Collect all nine relics found in Arctika. Be thorough, as some items can be found in invisible chests. Items on this level come from Baraka, Blaze, Havik, Ermac, Jax, Darrius, Rain, Ashra and Kano. Collecting the 20th relic rewards 20,000 "koins."

  Collect all eight relics in Lin Kuei Palace. Break items to reveal relics and open paths to other areas where relics are found. Searching bodies multiple times can also uncover a relic. Relics in this level come from Shang, Frost, Sub-Zero, Kitana, Liu Kang, Onaga, Noob and Smoke. The 30th relic makes Daegon playable.

  Collect Sindel's Brush in the Charred Mountain. It's next to a fallen tree at the start of the level. Also grab the chest for Fujin's alternate costume.

  Collect all seven relics in the Red Dragon Caves. Relics from Fujin, Tanya, Mavado, Daegon, Kenshi, Sareena and Reptile can be found by breaking items. Be thorough and fully explore areas (walk across the entire place) before fighting the final boss. The 40th relic unlocks the Pyramid of Argus arena.

  Collect both relics from the Netherrealm Cliffs. Search the area to find relics from Shinnok and Li Mei.

  Collect both items from Shinnok's Spire. Relics here come from Bo Rai Cho and Nitara.

  Collect the 12 relics from Shao Kahn's Fortress. Search the area and use fireballs on orbs and unlit torches. Items here are from Shao Kahn, Mileena, Meat, Quan Chi, Mokap, Drahmin, Shujinko, Sheeva, Goro, Kintaro, Raiden and Reiko.

  Collect the final two relics in Edenian Ruins. Scorpion and Motaro are in plain sight. Collecting the 60th and final relic (Motaro's Horn) unlocks all items. Complete the level to unlock Taven as a playable character in arcade mode.
