How to Connect PS2 to Multiple TVs

When you want to show off your PlayStation 2 gaming skills, it may be easier to use multiple TVs --- one TV for you to get into the action, and another for others to watch. If you want one TV for each player to use so you don't have to crowd around each other, then that is possible as well. For either option, setting up the PlayStation 2 and the TVs is the same.

Things You'll Need

  • RCA video audio splitter adapters
  • RCA cable

Instructions

    • 1

Plug in the RCA cable adapter into the PlayStation 2. The PlayStation 2 comes with multiple types of cables to plug into televisions. The easiest method for splitting your signal is with regular RCA cables (cables with a yellow, red and white end).

    • 2

Plug the end of each of the RCA cables into a RCA video/audio splitter adapter. This is what allows you to hook up additional TV sets.

    • 3

Plug RCA cables into each of the outputs (if you are hooking up more than two TVs, you will need additional splitters and cables for each television). Now you have two video cables and four audio cables (two for left channel and two for right channel). If you use yellow, red and white cables, it will make it easier to connect the appropriate cable to the correct plug on the back of the TV.

    • 4

Plug the yellow cables into the video-in connection on each television. Plug the red cable into the right audio input on each television. Plug the white cable into the left audio input on each television.

    • 5

Turn on the TVs and the PlayStation 2. The console will now broadcast to each of the TVs simultaneously. Video and sound will show equally on each one.
