Where to Find Goku SS4 in Dragon Ball Z: Budokai 3

The character Goku on the "Dragon Ball Z" universe has many forms, and unlocking them all in the video games is part of the fun. Super Saiyan 4 is Goku's final form in the Playstation 2 title, "Dragon Ball Z: Budokai 3." You can obtain him by grabbing a capsule from a secret scene in Goku's storyline. After fighting the enemy Kid Buu, you need to find an island on the map with the title "????," which gives Goku access to his final form.

Goku's Dragon Universe Mode
- The secret island is only found in the Goku's storyline in "Dragon Universe" mode. In this game feature, you must select missions from a world map and complete a series of battles in each mission. Animated cutscenes follow the story from the television show. In order to find the secret island, players must finish the first 11 missions before fighting Kid Buu.
Preparing For Kid Buu
- You need to play the Kid Buu mission a certain way in order to unlock the secret island. The battle must play out like it did in the television show. In order to do this, Goku must be equipped with the "Super Saiyan," "Super Saiyan 2," and "Super Spirit Bomb" powers. You can earn them through earlier missions.
Fighting Kid Buu
- During the battle with Kid Buu, you need to deal the finishing blow with the "Super Spirit Bomb" ability. It helps if you do not use the Saiyan transformations during the battle. When Goku is transformed into a Super Saiyan, he can no longer use the "Super Spirit Bomb." This is not required to finish the level, but this is the only way to unlock Goku SS4.
The Secret Island
- If players perform the above tasks, a small unmarked island appears to the east of the World Martial Arts Tournament. A title above it reads "????." If you choose the level, a cutscene plays. You then receive the Goku SS4 Capsule, which adds Goku's Super Saiyan 4 form to the playable character list.
