How to Use a TiVo Series 2 AV Input for a PS2

TiVo Series 2 digital video recorders are equipped with inputs for connect additional equipment, such as a PlayStation2 game console, so the TiVo can be used as a receiver for managing different inputs to a connected TV. That way, if you don't feel like watching recorded programs on TiVo, you can switch over to the PS2 for a little video-game action. Use the audio-video cable supplied with the PS2 to connect the game console to the TiVo. The colored plugs on the PS2 cable match the inputs on the back of the TiVo Series 2.

     Press the power button on the front of the TiVo and the PS2 to turn off the equipment.

     Connect the square uni-plug on one end of the PS2 cable to the back of the PS2 game console.

     Insert the three plugs on the other end of the PS2 cable into the red, white and yellow inputs labeled on the back of the TiVo. Each plug matches a jack color.

     Turn on the TiVo and the PS2.

   • 5

     Press the "Input" button on the TiVo remote to change from the TiVo over to the PS2 for game play.
