Ps1 Memory Cards that Work in PS2 Slims

The PlayStation 2 (PS2) plays PS1 discs and uses the same memory card slot as the PS1. This means that most PS1 memory cards will work with the PS2. The PlayStation 2 Slim, a lighter and smaller version of the original, was introduced in 2004. The PS2 Slim featured all of the same ports and peripherals as the original PS2, which includes the memory card slots.

  1. Sony Cards

    • These cards were developed to work on the original PS1 and also work in the PS2 Slim. They come in a 1MB size with 15 blocks of available memory.

    Nuby Cards

    • Nuby came out a few years after the original PlayStation was introduced. Nuby had the PlayStation 2 in mind when it developed its PS1 memory cards, so they will work with the PS2 system.

    Nyko Cards

    • Like the other two brands, Nyko only works with PS1 games that are played on the PS2 Slim, but it comes in many different colors.
